UK minister to visit UAE to deepen ties with space industry

Mr Griffith will be on well-trodden ground, because the space relationship between the UK and the UAE is already a close one. Last year, AzurX, a Dubai-based space investment and advisory company, joined forces with AstroAgency, which is based in Edinburgh, to create a “space bridge” between the UK and Gulf countries.

Blue Moon, Green Earth: How Space Benefits the Earth at COP28
Blue Origin’s Senior Director of Space Resources, Dr. Vlada Stamenković explores how space technologies and resources can benefit Earth at the Space Pavilion at COP28.
The partnership was formalized by a MOU signed by Hasan Al Hosani, MD of Bayanat, Bill Sullivan, Chairman of HySpecIQ, and Anna Hazlett, CEO of AzurX. AzurX and AstroAgency have won the opportunity to develop an ambitious project that will see Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) collaborate with the UK’s pioneering space sector to boost knowledge sharing, technology transfer, trade and investment on both sides. The UK Space Agency announced the recipients to receive the first phase of its £20 million International Bilateral Fund investments.
